The site of Ius Commune has been opened with the following intention

- to facilitate the among its Visitors exchange of bibliographical informations on the scientific search of Common Law;

-to allow the best possible diffusion of texts and

articles about the history of Ius Commune;

-to develop discussion and debate of general topics concerning scientific historical-legal search;

-to help and facilitate the diffusion of news, observations, and communications of common interest for all the Researchers of the discipline.

Unfortunately, the dimension and the frequency of updating Iura communia does not allow a methodic translation in English. The criteria has been, therefore, that everyone can write on Iura Communia in its own language. I must admit: is a logic of Babel, but unfortunately at this moment it is not possible to do anything about it.
